The Jazz Cafe Comedy Club – November 11th 2010

The Jazz Café's Comedy Night, here to fill your belly with fun, laughs and a range of tasty food too! The Jazz Café lays host to this brilliant show with 4 fantastic comedians included in the ticket price of £9, with a variety of dining options available on the evening. Your 4 comedians offer a great blend of comedy for newcomers and comedy fans alike so there's fun to be had for all, and this month they are:

Michael Fabbri

Michael Fabbri quickly stamped his mark on the UK circuit appearing in the 2003 final of Channel 4’s So You Think You’re Funny? and rapidly earned a reputation as one of the most promising up and coming comedians on the circuit. A reputation that he is living up to, regularly performing for the best clubs in the country. With a dark and honest approach to some of life’s more touchy subjects Fabbri manages to effortlessly slip between some harsh, controversial topics to light-hearted silliness to make for a refreshingly eclectic and brilliantly funny act.

Josh Howie

Josh is an ex-public schoolboy, raised as a Buddhist who then trained as a Rabbi before being kicked off the programme for being caught with a naked (non-Jewish) girl, so perhaps it was inevitable that he would go on to become a stand-up.

Josh has also been filmed for the Paramount Comedy shows ‘World Stands Up’ and ‘Comedy Blue’ and can currently be seen as the presenter of ‘Indie Close Up’, the Sky Movies show that offers all the latest news in the world of indie cinema.

Joe Lycett

Paul F Taylor is a one of a kind comedian. An instantly watchable performer, whilst onstage he exhibits a lost playful vulnerability. This coupled with his hilarious and surreal observations never fails to leave audiences crying with laughter.

Paul is a superb writer with a keen eye for the absurd in everyday life, he creates wickedly funny and astute observational comedy which is totally captivating and utterly hilarious. Certainly one for the future!

"Beautifully crafted one liners... astute observational comedy" Comedian of the week GQ Magazine

Ivan Brackenbury

“If laughter is the best medicine, Ivan Brackenbury should be a real hospital radio DJ. Ivan's Hospital broadcast, Disease Hour, is the most deliciously enjoyable I've spent on the Fringe. His poorly judged dedications, like everything else in this chock-full show, come thick, fast and funny. And that pregnant pause, as we wait to hear which song Ivan selects for which ailment, gets more tantalising every time.”
